Once again this year we came together in Spišská Belá for a good cause 💚
A total of 38 volunteers took part in the clean-up, and they did not hesitate to give up their time to make our town a nicer place to live.
Young people, families with children, volunteers and residents who care about the environment they live in all joined in.
Together we set off to two locations – the field behind Greisigerova and Weberova streets and the area around the upper railway station. From the very first steps it was clear that we had a lot of work ahead of us.
We managed to collect more than 50 bags of waste and along the way we found some truly “interesting items” 👀
Among them were, for example, 6 tyres, a rain gutter, a scooter, carpets, a mattress, a clothes-drying rack, sun loungers, inflatables, cassettes, DVDs and even a swimming pool.
The amount of bulky waste showed us once again that nature cannot help itself – but together we can help it. Moments like these also remind us how important it is to treat the environment around us responsibly.
The atmosphere was great and full of energy all day. People who care about their town, who want to help and do things that matter, came together. It was not just about cleaning up, but also about time together, cooperation and the good feeling of a day well spent.
And that is exactly what it is about – not just cleaning up, but caring about where we live.
