The scent of autumn, good food and a community that sticks together 🍎
The Apple Feast in Strážky has once again proved that when the scent of autumn, good food and wonderful people come together, the result is an unforgettable Sunday. The third edition of this popular event brought an even richer programme, lots of smiles and the aroma of freshly baked cakes that drifted through the whole Day Centre.
Together we created another beautiful afternoon
On Sunday 12 October 2025, the Day Centre in Strážky filled up with people from our town and the surrounding area. The afternoon had a friendly atmosphere – people met, chatted, laughed and enjoyed the autumn moments together. Children competed and created, adults tasted cakes and everyone found something to enjoy. 🍎🍂
The event came about thanks to the cooperation of several organisations and volunteers from our town. The following took part in preparing the Apple Feast: Expression o.z., Face Club, Pôjd Education Centre, Kráčame spolu, Union of Pensioners of Slovakia and staff from the culture department of the town of Spišská Belá.
Apples in every form
The programme was even more varied this year – there was a competition for the best apple cake, creative workshops, a fruit-carving workshop, face painting, outdoor activities, archery, horse riding or various apple games.
Our seniors took care of the delicious homemade treats, preparing tasty food for all participants. 🍰☕

Visitors had a hard time choosing their favourite!
After the votes were counted, the results were as follows:
🥇 1st place: Mrs Habiňáková

🥉 3rd place: CDR Spišská Belá
