Last week, the NEXT LEVEL summer day camp took place at Pôjd. Over five days the children tried video making, virtual reality, gaming tournaments, programming and team activities. The programme was designed so that the children not only had fun, but also picked up new skills and spent time with their peers.

🎬 Monday was all about making videos

We started the first day with icebreakers and introduced the children to the camp rules. The main activity of the day was making their own video. The children wrote the script together, divided up the roles, filmed individual shots and finally tried cutting and editing. Along the way they developed teamwork, communication and creativity.

🥽 Virtual reality tournament

Tuesday belonged to the popular VR game Beat Saber16 competitors took part, and their task was to slice the incoming cubes as precisely as possible with light sabres in virtual reality. The four players with the highest scores advanced to the semi-final, and in the afternoon the final took place, deciding the winner of the tournament.

🔫 Trip to Svit

On Wednesday we headed to the town of Svit, where the children played the ever-popular laser game. During the game they tested their alertness, teamwork and tactical thinking. After thrilling battles we had lunch together, cooled off with ice cream and returned home full of experiences.

🕹️ Games and programming basics

On Thursday the programme continued with another gaming tournament, this time in an arcade game. After the competition the children were introduced to the basics of game programming and got an idea of how simple computer games are made. Many of them tried for the first time what goes into creating them.

🎵 Lights, sound and the closing awards

The last day of the camp was all about technology. The children saw a demonstration of lighting and sound equipment, there was a short laser show, and a demonstration of how to work with lighting and sound technology. To finish, we held a ceremony handing out diplomas and small rewards to recognise all participants for their activity throughout the week.

💙 A week full of new experiences

Over five days the children gained new experience, got to know modern technology, developed their creativity and made lots of lovely memories. We hope they enjoyed the camp and took plenty of experiences away with them.

Finally, a big thank you to all the children for their energy and to the parents for their trust.

Special thanks go to Tomáš, Jakub and Michal, who prepared the programme and made sure the camp ran smoothly all week. Thanks to their time, willingness and dedication, the children could enjoy a varied programme full of games, technology and shared experiences.

We look forward to more get-togethers at FACE CLUB!
