At the end of the school year, school at our place is (not) ending

It will just change its location, character and the topics it covers. Wondering what we are writing about? Why, about the Summer Development Academy with the Avengers-inspired name Infinity Stones, which is being prepared for the summer by the Pôjd Education Centre.

The Summer Development Academy is a programme for 20 children and young people aged 11 to 13, whose aim is to develop, through non-formal and experiential education, their critical thinking and the key competences needed for life in the 21st century. Specifically, these are digital, communication and presentation skills. The programme is built on regular meetings twice a week, where we always focus on one chosen topic.

The academy has been named Infinity Stones

Just as every stone in the Avengers had its own name, our individual weekly themes will follow the same spirit. For example, the Mind Stone will test our critical thinking, while the Time Stone will touch on what awaits us in the future and how we can influence it. But we will not give away any more: the secrets of the remaining stones will be a surprise for the participants. And you will learn a little more about them in time, too. We will finish the academy with an action-packed day camp, which will include a living library and a trip together.

Great news, everything will be free

Participation in the academy is free of charge. The costs are covered by a project supported by the Carpathian Foundation under the School of the Future grant programme from the Magenta Life Endowment Fund. Registration is binding and we expect a responsible approach to attendance.

If you are interested in taking part in the programme, do not hesitate to fill in the registration form at this link:  https://forms.gle/Fq49uA759uLxhZLg7.

Before you fill in the registration, have a look at the Infopack attached to this article. The Infopack summarises all the information you need.
