The sixth Festival of Unconventional Sports brought a day full of movement, fun and shared experiences to the English park at Strážky Manor House. More than 1,300 visitors could try more than 70 sports and activities for free.
On Sunday 16 August 2026 the park filled up with children, young people and whole families. The festival, organised by Expression o.z. – FACE CLUB in cooperation with the town of Spišská Belá, offered a varied mix of sport, fun, relaxation and accompanying programme.

📊 The festival in numbers
6th edition
1,300+ visitors
70+ sports and activities
50+ volunteers
30 partners and sponsors
3 months of intensive preparation

🏃 More than 70 activities
Visitors could choose from more than 70 sports and activities – from ball, racket, team and family sports to adrenaline challenges.
A big draw were the attractions from Zábavka, including the giant Ninja Factor course, the Sweeper, Wipe Out and Bungee football. Visitors could also try Bumper Balls, sumo suits, mega football boots, Volcage and plenty of other activities.
From the youngest children to adults, everyone could find something to suit their taste and courage.

🎯 The festival was not only about sport
Alongside the sports stations, visitors could also enjoy a varied accompanying programme.
Dobrá hračka set up a children's corner where kids could make bracelets, necklaces and medals, try various children's activities, and there was even a balance path.
Refreshments were provided by Ďoďo Food Truck. Visitors could enjoy langoše, waffles and chips and other snacks, along with refreshing drinks.
The festival also featured the DÔVERA mobile health units, where visitors could check their health, measure selected body parameters and blood pressure, or have other preventive check-ups.
Safety was looked after by DHZ Spišská Belá (the volunteer fire brigade), who oversaw fire safety during the event. The firefighters also showed visitors their equipment, vehicles and gear.

🎟️ Raffle in support of the festival
Visitors could also support the festival through a raffle with more than 20 prizes. For a voluntary contribution they could buy a raffle ticket and try their luck.
The raffle proceeds go towards covering the costs of organising the festival. Thanks to this, we can put on an event that is free for visitors.

🛠️ Months of work behind the festival
Although the festival lasted six hours, intensive preparations began about three months in advance.
The organisation was handled by a 10-member preparation team, who dealt with the programme, sports stations, partners, materials, logistics, technical support, communication, volunteers and many other things.
During the festival itself, more than 50 volunteers helped out. They looked after the individual stations, assisted visitors, supervised activities and made sure everything needed was in place so the festival ran smoothly all afternoon.
Their work is one of the things without which an event like this could not happen.

🤝 Thank you to our partners
About 30 partners and sponsors helped make the festival happen, supporting it financially, with materials, services, attractions, refreshments or their time.
The event took place thanks to the support of the Prešov Self-Governing Region under the Mladí pre komunitu (Young People for the Community) project.
The festival was also supported by the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic in the area of youth work, administered through NIVAM – the National Institute of Education and Youth.
The event was also held with the support of the town of Spišská Belá.

👨👩👧👦 More than 1,300 people in one place
More than 1,300 visitors played sport, competed, tried new activities, relaxed and spent time together over a single afternoon.
The atmosphere was full of movement, laughter and mutual encouragement. And that is exactly what the Festival of Unconventional Sports is about – not just attractions and sports, but creating a space where the community can meet and experience something new together.
