Summer holidays are slowly but surely knocking at the door. The school gates will close for a while in a few days. But that does not apply to the gates of Face Club or Pôjd. They will be open to everyone – little ones, big ones and families – much more than at any other time of the year.

Summer 2022 is the biggest HIGHLIGHT of the year at the club. Together with the whole volunteer team, we put our heads together, pondered and consulted until a PLAN was born, which we want to present to you in this article.

So sit back and start reading about our summer programme, which all of you – children, young people and parents – can look forward to.

Mornings at the club for kids – because “those who play don’t misbehave” ⚽️

As with every summer holiday, this year too the club will be open in the morning hours every working day from 9:00 to 13:00. Our youth leaders will take care of a fantastic programme. Games together, crafts, cooking, quizzes or films? No problem, just come and experience it. So, parents, if you don’t know what to do with your little ones, Face Club is the solution ☺️ . This is another way we would like to help you and make it easier to fill your kids’ time during the summer.

Night marathon, barbecue and a concert – evenings at the club for young people

The time from 19:00 to 22:00 will belong to young people again. The evenings at Face Club will be filled with films, popcorn and get-togethers. And how about sleeping over at the club? Or, on the contrary, not sleeping and playing ping-pong all night? Or relaxing in the summer reading corner and grilling something right there? Or experiencing a great concert in our garden? It’s all possible! At our club, yes!

Summer and camping? Absolutely!

Camping is an essential part of summer at Face Club! This year there will be plenty of such opportunities.

English day camps

The education centre Pôjd, which has grown up above Face Club, offers themed day camps in English led by our foreign volunteers.

Adventure and discovery day summer camp 2021

What Will I Be When I Grow Up? – why do people work and what does their profession involve? We will look for answers to these questions during the day camp about professions. The camp will run from 1 to 5 August 2022. It is intended for younger children aged 5 to 9. We will publish more information soon. Follow our social media.

We will be here for families too 😇

Besides the activities at the club, you and your family will be able to meet us at several activities planned in the town and its surroundings.

Family Olympics – in July we will celebrate Family Day together. To be precise, on Sunday 10 July 2022 with a Family Olympics. The event will also include seminars on fatherhood and motherhood led by expert lecturers. More about the event soon on our Facebook.

Community Sunday – connecting communities and groups matters a lot to us. That is why we would like to spend the last Sunday of July together. Children, young people, churches, sportspeople, seniors. Everyone together with one goal – to spend a pleasant time together that we will remember for a long time. More about the event soon on our Facebook.

Festival of Unconventional Sports – Kin-Ball, Crossnet or Rollors. Don’t understand? Never mind, come to the Festival of Unconventional Sports and you will get it straight away. You will be able to try a whole range of unconventional sports on 14 August 2022 in the manor park in Strážky. The event will also include 2 interesting workshops from the world of sport. More about the event soon on our Facebook.

One of the unconventional sports – bumper balls

We will find time for volunteering too

We want our volunteering to reach beyond the gates of Face Club. We want to be there for clients of the care service facility, disadvantaged children and children from the Centre for Children and Families, and brighten their summer days with our activities.

And much more that is unexpected, but all the better for it!

As they say, the best ideas come unexpectedly. That is why our summer programme may change and grow with other great events, small or large. If you have an idea for a fantastic activity, don’t hesitate to let us know.

Don’t forget to follow us!

We can’t wait to get started on our plans. So if you want to know everything, don’t forget to follow our Facebook pages for more information about Face Club and Pôjd events.
