August at FACE CLUB was full of travel, sport, cooking, camps and shared activities. Over the month we enjoyed a wide range of experiences while gradually wrapping up our summer programme.
We kicked off August with a travel evening about Brazil, where Šimon told us about his eight months volunteering in Brazil. He gave us a picture of everyday life, the culture, travelling around and his experiences of living in the country.
The big event of the month was the Festival of Unconventional Sports, which we organised on 16 August in the English park of Strážky Manor House. The festival attracted more than 1,300 visitors.

In August we also enjoyed Haluškovica, where our young cooks Marko, Adam and Dominika took part. Together they prepared more than 30 portions of halušky.
The summer continued with the Summer Mini Olympics, a week full of exercise, games and fun.

Our summer programme also included the English day camp Young Champion, where the children enjoyed five days full of games, movement and English.

In August we also went on a study visit to Stropkov. We visited Turany nad Ondavou, Stropkov and Svidník and came back with new experiences and ideas.

We also wrapped up the summer DOOBEDIA for children, which brought a new programme and plenty of activities every day throughout the holidays.
We also took part in the Tesco – Život chutí vote.
On top of all that, we were already preparing the September programme, which includes another ping-pong tournament, a film screening, Cinnamon Rolls baking, the Spiš Potato Fair, a travel evening about Romania and Laser Game.
