If you have some super-special unconventional sports in mind, it wasn't down to them. Those were there too, of course. And they were fun. But what caused the unconventional “fun” was a power cut. From the start our plans crossed paths with a higher power. What really encouraged us, though, was the joy and enthusiasm of the people who came to have fun. We realised that the time spent on a good activity TOGETHER is the most important thing we have. And you could feel it. Of course, without these complications the programme and running of the festival could have been of higher quality. But perhaps it would have lost the spontaneity and relaxed feel that was there.

Our volunteers threw themselves into preparing the festival with complete dedication. The beginnings of their efforts reach back to the winter months, when we fought as one team to make this festival happen. The box called Festival of Unconventional Sports in the Tesco challenge “You Decide, We Help” got the most tokens, so the first success was in the bag. Now only the festival itself remained. The festival was supported from several sources: the town of Spišská Belá lent a hand, and we could provide refreshments for the volunteers thanks to support from the Prešov Self-Governing Region under the Family Self-Government programme.
Organising the Festival of Unconventional Sports means having enough willing hearts and hands ready to help. And that is just what the FACE CLUB volunteers are like.

As many as 25 came to help, and thanks to them you could experience as many as 45 unconventional sports activities! As always, the most attention went to Bumper Balls, Slackline, the Human Boomerang and the Bungee rope. The brave ones tried unicycles and jumping stil
Our youngest visitors found their place in the children's corner full of activities for their development. And we know the unconventional sports were really enjoyed also because our healthy refreshments prepared by our volunteers ran out fairly quickly. We're glad you liked it!
But the festival wasn't only about sport…The sporting and professional quality of the festival was raised by our trainers Johny and Paťka, who travelled all the way from distant Košice. Thanks to physiotherapist Paťka, many visitors left “straightened out” and ready to give a quality neck massage to their partner. Johny, in turn, explained the rules of Frisbee and in his workshop focused on strength and conditioning training with your own body complemented with kettlebells.

Fans of analytical and logical thinking got their due too! To engage the left hemisphere we prepared an escape room, from which only the very best managed to escape. Solving the puzzle was far from easy. The escape room with the patriotic name Petzval's Study was prepared for you by our volunteer Matúš.
The Festival of Unconventional Sports was full of colourful moments. As if that weren't enough, one of ours was waiting at the very end. As soon as we ended the festival and started packing up, a heavy downpour accompanied by a proper thunderstorm. So our precious unconventional equipment didn't go into boxes in the storeroom but straight onto the FACE CLUB tables, where all of it had to be thoroughly dried out.
Thank you all for the pleasant time, and see you again next year!
